As well as our main areas of work, Aimhigher Sussex are also involved in several projects.

Parents and Carers Sessions for Year 12/FE1

Run by a project worker with experience of facilitating adult discussion, these sessions are aimed at students and their parents/carers and are an effective way to get parents involved in the Aimhigher process. They are 90-minute informal workshops, and include input from student ambassadors.

This is one of the core Aimhigher Sussex activities run by a project worker with experience of facilitating adult discussion.

These sessions are aimed at Year 10 students and their parents/carers (although they can be arranged for different year groups) and are a really effective way to get parents involved in the Aimhigher process.

Aimhigher Sussex Student Engagement Projects

In the summer, Aimhigher Sussex launched two new projects in tandem with each other – a student voice panel and a Facebook profile.

The student voice panel currently comprises 15 students from target schools across Sussex. An initial meeting took place in the summer, held in the award-winning creative space INQBATE at Sussex University and facilitated by Peter Hirst of Giant Minds.
